The Court Reporting Services Division for the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit is responsible for making a verbatim record of court proceedings required to be reported at public expense in Monroe County. The division ensures proceedings are reported at the highest quality attainable and the record is retained and archived as required by law. This is accomplished through the use of stenographic court reporting and digital court reporting.
Monica Brawer is the Court Reporting Services Manager and is located in Key West. Julie Wiktorek is the Official Court Reporter for the whole circuit and is stationed in Plantation Key. She is certified through the National Court Reporters Association and is a Registered Professional Reporter. Darci Dore is the Digital Court Reporter in Key West. Meaghan McCullah is the Digital Court Reporter in Marathon and Gianna Rendina is the Digital Court Reporter in Plantation Key.
Our methods of reporting court proceedings include the use of stenography and digital recordation, from which we are able to prepare typewritten verbatim transcripts. Transcripts are not automatically produced at public expense. Transcripts are produced when ordered by a judge or by receipt of a designation to court reporter for appellate cases. Financial arrangements must be made in advance for preparation of a transcript. More information about transcripts can be provided by contacting the Court Reporting Services Manager, Monica Brawer. |
