County Judge Derek Lewis hosted the Key West High School and Coral Shores High School trial teams for the District 16 Mock Trial Competition on Monday, January 26, 2026 at the Marathon Courthouse. Here he is pictured with the winning team from Key West High School who now moves on to the state competition in Orlando on March 26-March 28. The Key West High School team is coached by KWHS alumnus and Assistant State Attorney Madeline Thompson and sponsored by KWHS teacher Paula Mercer.
