Tegan Slaton

Judge Tegan Slaton was elected to the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit ( Monroe County ) bench in the summer of 2008 and has been presiding as a County Judge since January of 2009.

                        Assistant Public Defender, 1990-1992
                        Private Practice, 1992-2008
                        Attorney for Child Support Enforcement, 1994-2005
                        Traffic Magistrate, 1999-2007
                        Family Court Magistrate, 2000-2007
                        Dependency, Family, and County Court Certified Mediator
                        Elected to Circuit Court November 4, 2008

• Community Service:

                        Former member of Board of Directors for MARC House,
                          Helpline, and Wesley House
                        Board member of Florida Keys United Way

• Activities:

                        Bocce, Fishing, Gardening, Golfing, and very rough carpentry
